Volunteers in Patrol (Public Officers)

Our Volunteers in Patrol (VIP), also known as Public Officers (PO) can work closely with the San Andreas State Police without being directly involved in the Internal Affairs of the department. As Volunteers in the Patrol, they can use any equipment provided by the San Andreas State Police including clothing, weapons, and department-issued vehicles. Assisting them in the everyday duties of basic law enforcement, they get the rare ability to see what the department is about as well as able to work closely with members of the community. Although our Volunteers in Patrol are Public Officers within the State, our department has no control over them from an internal standpoint. All Public Officers within the Greater State of San Andreas are supervised and moderated by the United States Marshals and Federal Investigations Bureau.

As long as one abides by the policies and procedures of the average Public Officer, anyone with the certification may operate in our VIP.
